As my post to the game thread indicates, I have unintentionally caused some confusion regarding the role PMs. Some are identified by one of the generic terms, others by less generic terms. If you wish to substitute generic terms, I would recommend "Investigative" for Oracle, "Special" for Penguin and Catwoman, "Vanilla" or "Killing" for Huntress. As in the game thread, I apologize.[/b]

D01.510. Does anyone think that Chronos's statement at the start of the last paragraph implies he isn't Town? (Or Mafia, obviously).I've bolded the relevant bit. Town wincons specify that PFKs must be eliminated; ours that PFKs must be "neutralised." If Chronos was in either group, he should know that his wincon talks about eliminating PFKs. Or is he trusting Pleo to be third party?

ATPG.
Click on the "Profile" button, then "Modify Profile."
Scroll down unti you see a drop-down box saying something like "Stay Invisible." Set that to "Yes."
Save the changes.

Chronos just claimed that he knows one of the cover roles. according to story, that means he's the Killer Moth, and thus overwhelmingly likely (imo for game setup purposes) to be Town, not Third Party.

Also, if the town starts quoting acrostics from their role PMs (I really hate these sorts of brute force attempts), we should probably decide pretty quickly which of us are going to take the "uncompromised" cover roles. I'd suggest that MHaye take one, since I feel like he's the likeliest of all of us to go deep in the game.

well, we can always kill Chronos and have 4 good cover roles.

When push comes to shove, I might have to claim Joker's counterpart.
Hopefully he is a 3rd party serial killer, and I can claim there is some sort of competition between myself and him.
I think I can get away with as Jean Paul, though the name might be ultimately too good.
It will fit in with my claim of JOAT.
I might eve be able to get away with the initial sentence for an acronym.
This leaves all of the fake claims for you guys.

I wonder - did Batman ever feel like this? Like his hatred for injustice, his rage against oppression, were going to burst out of him in an explosion he couldn't ever hope to control? Probably not.

If I have to jump in a hurry, I think I'd be best placed to refute an argument about The Ventriloquist - that last time it was a cover role for Mafia, so it can't be trusted. It'll take some digging though. (Plus there's Chronos's own role.)
If we can kill Chronos before he spills the beans (as it were) then well and good. Otherwise I think we're stuck with it.
Idle's going to have a problem, as I think he's away until halfway through Dusk.

I will use the acrostic whatever if my teammates insist, but OOG and entirely OOC, I find this tactic to be anti-game.
I would rather not play. However, to be a team player, I will swallow my objection and continue. But under heavy protest that this is not what I consider to be fun.

I think it's the Town playing against the mod. But I don't think we really have much choice at this point, since everybody bought into it.

I think that I've got several people objecting to the tactic now, too many for them all to be suspected of being scums.
So I may have soured them on it. Which is good for us.
Next, Idle Thoughts and Merestil Haye, you guys need to post more from now on. You're both having the spotlight shone on you for being the least posty players in this game.
Please, unless this is your intended strategy, in which case use your balls and don't flinch even under pressure. If you're going to lurk (ick) do it right.
