Well, then I guess I am. I don't want to stay in this game guys, I'm sorry.

If I am to stay in the game, don't expect me to post very much (read: At all).

I'll stay if you really want, but I really don't want to play anymore at this point. I had planned to use my power from the beginning of this game, when I found out that I was scum, on the very first Night....because I just don't like playing scum.

I don't have the heart or fever to keep up a huge lie to the game as I once did. It's very stressful for me whenever I'm scum. That's the reason why I always claim on Day One now...I can just tell the truth, sit back, and relax the rest of the game knowing I have everything out in the open.
As scum, I can't do that (although I even have to admit I was tempted to say "I'm scum" in the Day One thread----THAT would have been sabotage, yes). I don't see how my using my power...a power I've been given--WHEN I WANT TO--as sabotaging anything, I'm sorry.
It's my right to use my own power how and when I see fit, I figure. I wouldn't ever tell any of you that you couldn't use your own powers whenever you wanted to and I certainly wouldn't liken it to sabotage.

So which is it..which do YOU think is better? Me staying in the game, but not posting..and having the risk of being lynched due to being a lurker OR me using my power toNight and actually being able to do SOMETHING and possibly take someone out.*


*And I don't want to substitute out, so that's not an option. As I said, I already PLANNED to use my power toNight, providing I survived Day One (which I did). So there should be no reason to sub out since I made a plan and want to go through with it.

yeah, one further dead townie here is not worth the effort. Save it for later. The more townies alive right now, the better we can hide.

Later, when folks are narrowed down and cleared and nobody will lynch them, we will need extra killing powers.

Well Idle, if you really hate being scum I would suggest you sub out in future games. Some folks hate being vanilla townie but still play for the sake of the game.

As for using your power when you want, well... your teammates are providing feedback that it probably isn't in the interests of the team to do so right now.

You can do what you want, ultimately.

That said, if you just don't want to play, you should let someone else play who does. That's a separate issue from your power choice.

Maybe request to the game host that you don't get scum roles because you don't want to play them.

Yeah, I'd rather have you just sub, Idle, honestly. But failing that, you should use one of the batsuit powers tonight -- probably the investigative power - and then just not post, if that's honestly what you want to do.

If you can't bring yourself to play as Mafia, please use one of the Batsuit powers. Then just stay quiet.

(If you do decide to kill someone, make it Chronos, as no-one will be surprised to see the Mafia want him dead. But that isn't an endorsement of the idea, it's a "if you have to" type suggestion.)

Really, subbing out would be the best route.

As for our main kill, I'd rather not target anyone who has already claimed anything, as I think there's too much risk of us being observed or them being protected.

I'd like to go with guiri or BillMc, personally.

And I'm going to use my watcher power to watch Chronos, on the theory that he's been both helpful/productive AND has claimed a power that the scum would want to see dead, so he's likely to be the focus of activity. On the off-chance that someone tracks me to him, I can claim watcher and I think he's a valid Town watcher target.

ideally, I think Idle should use the Batsuit investigative power on someone who (a) hasn't yet claimed anything, and (b) isn't likely to be a scum/third-party kill anytime soon.

Maybe someone like gnarlycharlie or Drain Bead.

I don't want to sub out. I don't see why I should have to. I was given a night action power and I have the right to use it whenever I want, dammit.


If none of you ever want to play as scum with me again, after this, well...that's understandable and fine by me. I hope to never be scum again after this game, because from now on I'm going to make it clear beforehand, to whoever is modding, that I don't want to be scum.

If that is extremely, hella metagame-y (and it probably will be for future games), so be it. But I'm sorry. : /


I should have sent a PM to Storyteller before the game started letting him know my preference, that's my fault.





...but I still don't see what is wrong with me using my power when I want. Yeah, it sucks that we lost Ed right away, but that's not my fault. It was just an unfortunate turn of events. Be honest, you all wouldn't mind AS MUCH if I used it tonight if Ed was still alive...that's the thing that makes you say "No, no, don't do it toNight". But it's not on me that Ed died already. : / It's not any of ours fault. It's just something that happened....
...but I still had made plans to use my power tonight.

If I stay in the game, as scum, it's just going to get EXTREMELY STRESSFUL for me...and believe me, I don't need any more stress in my life right now.


And if you really want to know...had I become scum without a power that would have revealed me as scum after a kill...then yes, I would have subbed out.

As it turned out, though, that's a moot point, since I DO have this killing power that then reveals me as scum. Easy way out for me, in my opinion.
